REF 07 - Videographer - Istanbul

 

Job Description

As videographer in GAD you will shoot, develop, and edit video to capture important moments, sporting events, and other action. You will work work full-time hours during flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings, depending on when events are scheduled to take place.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

You will perform various job duties based on the event you’re recording and the needs of the any upcoming event that are about to happen. Despite those differences, however, these core job tasks are essential to do:

  1. Capture Action on Camera (You will record important events using camera, lighting, and audio equipment.)
  2. Direct Action (You will direct people to capture specific action and events for the camera.)
  3. Edit Recorded Video (You are going to edit captured video to tell concise, visually pleasing stories.)
  4. Set Up Equipment (You should set up and break down recording equipment before and after use. This includes taping down cables for safety.)
  5. Maintain Equipment (You will keep all video and audio equipment in good working order, replacing pieces as necessary.)
  6. Design Office/Projects Videos (You should create short office videos to publish on social media and press, also videos of projects)
  7. Track Time (You will track time spent shooting and editing video in order to calculate the time we are spending on each project.)

Videographer Skills and Qualifications

Having a minimum of 3 years’ experience is a must. You should have a good eye for detail and beauty. You will use your skills to tell GAD’s visual stories with video and audio recorded during various events. GAD is looking for a videographer who has the following specific skills:

  • Computer skills – having good computer skills to work with various video editing software programs, such as Adobe, Cinema 4D, and Photoshop
  • Time management – having time management skills to work within tight deadlines, capturing action and once-in-a-lifetime moments on camera
  • Multitasking – you will capture many different moments, people, and expressions on camera, so we are looking for professionals with multitasking skills to fill this role
  • Communication skills – you should provide direction to capture the right moments on camera, which requires good verbal communication skills
  • Physical fitness – it takes physical fitness for videographers to transport, move, set up, and take down various pieces of heavy recording equipment
  • Attention to detail – you should use keen attention to detail to make precise edits to captured video and stage beautiful scenes for filming purposes
