Bekmezci Villa / Istanbul

The Bekmezci Villa is a modern interpretation of the traditional Ottoman house. Overhangs and balconies allow the building open to its environment. Movable wall systems are designed to allow the user to control privacy regarding. The side porches connect the front and back garden by providing a sheltered passage. Thin struts surrounding the house mark the wooden facade sections and create a classic visual effect.
