Post Covid 19 World - Health and Urbanism by GAD, Case Study #1

One and Ortakoy, Roof Garden Provides Outdoor Space for Quarantined Residents.

In this period of social distancing and quarantines, space in architecture has become a key factor, especially in dense urban contexts. The issue of space and nature was highlighted in GAD’s design for the One and Ortakoy residential building that employed a roof garden as an extension of communal space. Today despite quarantines residents are able to take advantage of outdoor and natural space without having to leave their building. GAD’s architecture has continuously focused on the human element in architecture, especially spaces for nature and design of public space which we anticipate will be a key factor in Post Covid 19 world.
