Alpaslan Ataman

 

A special contributor to the office is Alpaslan Ataman. Born in 1944, he graduated from the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts in 1966. He directed numerous architectural and urban projects in the UK and the USA. Between 1980 and 1983, he participated in various projects and publications run by Sedad Hakkı Eldem, like "The Turkish House – the Ottoman Era” and "Bogazici” (The Bosphorus). He works and carries out his research as a free-lance architect and collaborates on many of GAD's projects.

His classic education and wide knowledge of traditional building systems and aesthetic proportions play an important role in the development of modern buildings.
